Color Sketch

A rough color layout. I'm trying out the water color pencils for drafts of possible paintings. It takes longer, but I like the full color preview. Flowers that bring doom seem to be the theme lately.

I painted this a while ago as part of a wedding mural for some friends. I was just looking back through some photos and thought it'd be cool to post. I've been exploring the concept of sugar skull balloons lately.

Guest blogging!

That's right, I'll be writing 16 guest blog entries on Eye Collector. Of course, I'm not the only one. This is such a great idea, and I can't wait to see what's written!

Maus sketch

This is my awesome cat. He's very photogenic, and great drawing practice.

I'm out of practice, but getting better. Still, I need more practice. It's been a long time since I've drawn this much without intent to paint, or for something project specific. Kind of a shame that I stopped doing something that used to come so natural.

08.03.11

This is a rough redo of a comic I drew a while ago. Not sure if I like it or not, but at least it's getting me in the practice of drawing regularly again, which is something that I've stopped doing up until recently. It's funny how easy it used to be to define my own style, and how it almost seems lost to me now. I'll just have to keep drawing until I can define something new and mine.
